Before starting any type of treatment, which is also a simple application of a day or night cream, it is necessary to thoroughly cleanse the skin with products specific to the type of skin
(don’t know which products to apply? Don’t you know what kind of skin you have? CLICK HERE and we’ll tell you)
Before starting any treatment you need to remove all make-up (read our article on the importance of cleansing).
Next, we could apply a Tonic. The goal of the tonic is both to “tone” the face but also to take away the residues of previous treatments and prepare the skin for the next treatment. It’s very important!
You then move on to applying the mask.
In principle they have a laying time ranging from 20 to 40 minutes.
Every now and then you just have to touch the mask itself, once put on your face, to understand where we stand.
When we feel dry it will mean that we have come almost to the end of the treatment.
Once removed we don’t have to rinse right away! This is of paramount importance because we would remove all the mask residue. We need to give some more time to the elements contained in it to permeate the skin barrier well.
We’re going to tap into the leftover residue and let it go for 10 minutes.
After that, we will use warm (non-hot) water to clean away the residue.
We summarize the steps for the correct execution, from our point of view, of a mask:
- Degreasing cleansing and removal make-up with milk make-up or micellar water or biphasic products
- Opening tonic application
- Mask application (mono,bi,tri-step)
- Remove mask after laying time
- Pinch the remnants of the mask
- Let the elements work for another 10 minutes
- Rinse with warm water
